Hi, I’m Miya Kennedy-white.

I am the wife to a very loving husband, Carlos White. The mother of 4 children (2 biological and 2 bonus children). Jakiwa N. White, Carlos T. White, Carlie E. White, Carlos J. White. I am the daughter of Jeffrey and Cheryl Kennedy (Waycross, GA). I enjoy spending time with loves ones, helping people in need, and traveling with family. I give thanks to God for allowing myself and team to sow into the lives of so many people across the state of GA.

I am the CEO and founder of Helping Hands Behavioral Solutions. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University, a Master’s degree in Sociology from Valdosta State University and a Master’s degree in Human Service Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the State of Georgia. I am a member of the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of GA. I have been in the social service field for over 18 years. I have worked with DFCS as a subcontractor for over 10 years and started HHBS in 2019.  I am very passionate about providing high quality services to our clients as well as the case managers we serve.

As the agency owner/CEO I try my best to hire contractors that have the same motivation and share the same compassion as I do. From a child, I often desired to have “Helping Hands” to help others and to serve others. My motto has been and will always be that your past does not determine your future. Our goal is to provide the necessary tools so that the families we serve can be successful after DFCS is no longer involved.

Our team is made up of Licensed Professional Counselors, Masters level clinicians, behavioral specialist, and qualified transporters.
